I Studied the Blade
A downloadable game
Foreword
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In early 2023, I was finishing the process of obtaining my Master's Degree in Interactive Technology Programming. My final challenge? Complete the development of a game on three separate engines.
This is the best version of that game; I Studied the Blade - Unreal Engine version.
This is, officially speaking, the first project I've ever self published for non-gamejam purposes. It's one that I've had sitting on my computer for far too long, and I think it's far beyond time for me to publish it.
Please, if you do play it, leave a comment with your thoughts. Constructive criticism is always welcomed.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I Studied the Blade is an endless runner, plain and simple.
If you want a super simple game with simple controls, and a retro - pixel art aesthetic, look no further.
Play as the epic warrior (Mall Ninja), known by his peers as Marshal. One day, as he was practicing his blade form, his girlfriend (Body Pillow) was snatched by shadow demons after he effortlessly defeated them (The pillow snagged onto one of their horns as they were leaving through their portal). Marshal has chased them through, and must now fight through the hordes to get her back at any cost!
